Privacy Policy

The short version for busy parents: Math Pals collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Everything your child does in the app stays on your device. We couldn't see your child's data if we wanted to — and we don't want to.
Information we collect
None. Math Pals does not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. The app does not require an account, does not connect to our servers, and contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind.
Data stored on your device
All game data — collections, progress, settings, and profiles — is stored locally on your device only. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it. The optional Save Backup feature creates a file that you control and share only if and where you choose.
Microphone (optional Family Voice feature)
Math Pals includes an optional feature that lets a family member record short phrases (numbers and words of encouragement) so the app can read math problems aloud in their voice. These recordings are made only after you grant microphone permission, are stored only on your device, are never transmitted anywhere, and can be re-recorded or removed at any time. Declining microphone access disables only this feature; the built-in narrator voice works without it.
Photos (optional Photo Cards feature)
Math Pals can save collectible "photo cards" of your child's creatures to your photo library. The app uses add-only photo access: it can save new images you ask it to create, and it cannot read, browse, or access any existing photos.
In-app purchases
Math Pals offers optional in-app purchases of "Gems," a currency used only for cosmetic outfits. Gems can never purchase creatures, gameplay progress, or learning content. All purchase screens sit behind a parental gate, and payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never see or store any payment information.
Children's privacy
Math Pals is designed for children and is built to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's Kids Category requirements in the simplest possible way: by collecting no data from anyone, children included. The app contains no social features, no chat, no external links outside the parental gate, and no third-party content.
Local notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device (for example, when an expedition returns). These are generated and delivered entirely on-device; no notification data leaves your phone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new "last updated" date. Because the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare and boring.
